We had a stretch of hot weather during member guest last weekend. We had water most of the time but there was a day we did not. We burned a little around the greens and have a few dry spots on some of the greens. We will be without water most of this week and will saturate the grass to get it all back healthy as soon as we have water again.

We had a stretch of hot weather during member guest last weekend. We had water most of the time but there was a day we did not. We burned a little around the greens and have a few dry spots on some of the greens. We will be without water most of this week and will saturate the grass to get it all back healthy as soon as we have water again.

We have started to drain the irrigation pond over the last two days. You may have noticed the course is a bit softer than usual because we are pumping the majority of the water on the course. We will be without water for at least three to four days and are keeping the greens saturated. We will continue to do so until we are watering normal again. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but it's the best thing we can do for the health of our turf.

We finally are starting the generator back up to start the drawing the water table down.  We will hopefully start digging next week on the wet well. 

We top dressed the greens with sand this morning and that should help smooth them out and play nicer. The sand will be dragged before anyone plays on them and you should barley notice.
